Production Team Lead-3rd Shift (Monday-Friday 10:45pm-7:00am)
Job Purpose
Responsible for directing the work of the Molding Department employees.
Key Areas of Responsibility & Duties
PLANNING, PROCEDURES & PROCESS
- Interpret work order to insure job has been set up properly in all aspects before production commences.
- Review any quality defects with the Quality representative on the shift, making adjustments to the equipment/machine to resolve such issues if possible.
- Monitor cycle times to insure all equipment is running at optimal levels.
- Oversee all mold changes and processing adjustments, insuring Technicians are performing duties safely and in accordance with procedures.
- Reviews production schedule at the beginning of each shift to insure, based on employee resource levels, that proper machines are running to meet production demands.
- Completes necessary reports and forms to track production performance, employee attendance, machine efficiency, scrap rates and other KPI related factors.
- Oversees all daily department operations, including scheduling and supervision of employees and assigning daily work instructions.
- Establishes and maintains adequate records to track inventory coming into and leaving the department on a perpetual basis.
- Maintains department in a clean, organized and safe manner by sweeping, disposing of all refuse and unnecessary debris as well as handles all required product recycling.
- Must have advanced troubleshooting abilities with regard to Molding equipment in order to determine root cause of issues and resolve in an efficient manner.
- Oversees the training of employees on the shift to insure the Trainer is properly educating current and new employees.
- Communicates any issues with management and molding employees on other shifts
- Insures that the quality of the product packed on all lines is good
- Checks the work of employees on the shift to ensure that it is completed correct
- Other related duties as assigned.

- Complies with company policies and procedures, giving special attention to safety regulations.
- Report any discrepancies or concerns to Shift Supervisors, Quality Control or Management.
- Responsible for quality of work performed

- Follow Work Instructions, Visual Aids and Work Orders
- Report Quality Concerns
- Clock in and out of both payroll and visual systems accurately
- Collaborates with other departments as necessary to efficiently lead the department
- Be courteous and helpful to others
- Use proper ID techniques for traceability to ID parts during production or inspection
- Must be able to work assigned shifts and days, including weekdays/ends and holidays
