Department: | Injection Molding |
Location: | St-Damien, QC |
Establish production standards using a systematic approach to scientific analysis, when commissioning new machines, molds and robots to meet engineering specifications and production expectations. The technician actively participates in maintaining calibration processes for machines, automations and molds. He/she will participate in process improvement projects with the aim of optimizing equipment yields.
Analyze manufacturing processes to increase productivity and implement solutions.
? Develop and implement process standards in line with production and maintenance requirements;
? According to operational objectives, measure performance gaps and identify root causes (material, mold, machine, automation, etc.) using a systematic approach.
? Based on root causes, work with multi-disciplinary teams (R&D, maintenance, quality, production, etc.) to establish solutions to eliminate deviations and support the chosen solutions;
? Write reports on tests and observed facts;
? Propose and implement improvements to injection and/or automation standards, identifying the impact on the entire process;
? Lead the testing of new or existing products in a structured manner and complete the appropriate documentation.
? Act as a relay between engineering and production during the transfer of new products developed to optimize processes;
? Monitor new developments in injection molding and/or automation to keep up to date with all aspects of process efficiency improvement;
? Carry out any other related tasks required for the smooth running of the department;
? Participate in the selection of new equipment and machinery;
? On an ongoing basis, monitor standards by carrying out compliance audits and communicating the results to the various parties involved in the process;
? Ensure smooth and rigorous communications with all internal and external customers and suppliers;
? Act as an active member of a self-organized team.
