The role

We are currently recruiting for three Key Account Manager to join the IPL team, as a growing manufacturer in the environmental carts space, the Key Account Manager role will support our existing customers, while also having an exciting opportunity to develop new business within the defined territory. This role is responsible for selling IPL’s carts, driving year-over-year growth, and helping develop the business into a market leader. This role will act as a primary point of contact for our customers within the territory and work to continuously build upon those relationships.

Role locations: The Key Account Manager roles are remote roles that will cover the following territories

  • Territory 1 – South East – candidates will ideally be located in Atlanta, Charlotte or Jacksonville FL
  • Territory 2 – South - candidates will ideally be located in East Texas (Dallas), Oklahoma, Mississippi or Arkansas
  • Territory 3 – Central – candidates will ideally be located in Kansas City or St Louis areas

As a Key Account Manager at IPL you will:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for key customers.
  • Build a clear process to develop and grow your defined territory managing both existing and new accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Understand customer needs to provide tailored IPL solutions.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis to highlight IPL’s competitive advantage.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts aligned with territory expectations.
  • Act as the primary contact for key accounts, resolving inquiries and issues.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand business with existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to meet customer requirements (supply, inventory, quality, etc.).
  • Work with the sales team to implement effective sales strategies.
  • Achieve targeted sales calls and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Present IPL’s value proposition clearly to customers.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to identify growth opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing to maximize profitability.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Provide product and technical support to key customers as needed.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Proven experience as a key account manager within environmental/waste business segment.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly motivated and determined individual who has a proven track record of success.
  • Successful experience working in a collaborative team environment.
  • Naturally curious and coachable with a constant desire to improve.
  • A strong sense of urgency that moves clients from analysis to action.
  • Advanced consulting, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to assign priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Highly self-motivated to develop strategic, tactical, and operational direction.
  • Ability to collaborate and bridge across functional boundaries.
  • Ability to perform consistently with IPL Values.
  • Ability to travel as needed (40-50%)
