The Engineering Team are looking to fill the role of Maintenance Reliability Engineer in their Wolverhampton, United Kingdom facility. You will work as part of a team and be responsible for performing data analysis to predict and control failures before they occur and to implement preventive actions to improve equipment reliability. You will also perform root cause analysis to ensure lessons learnt and preventative maintain planning. You will need the ability to diagnose and communicate electrical and mechanical faults with machinery ensuring we achieve production company targets and objectives, promoting operational excellence at all times. The role will be working Monday to Friday, 07:30am - 16:00pm. Occasional out of hours working and overtime will also be required due to business needs.

IPL Wolverhampton formerly known as Plastic Bottle Supplies, is an industry manufacturing specialist of HDPE Plastic Bottles with a 20 plus year history of servicing many successful businesses within the UK. IPL Wolverhampton manufactures fully recyclable products with post-consumer recycled options available.

Position Title: Maintenance Reliability Engineer

Location: Wolverhampton

What you will bring to the role:

A reliable, dependable candidate who will bring a team player mindset with the ability to work autonomously as needed.

The successful candidate will:

  • To ensure all equipment is maintained to the highest standard and ensure all equipment is optimised to deliver efficiency targets.
  • Use appropriate tools, including root analysis, to diagnose faults and develop corrective action plans.
  • Work with operators and shift technicians and Engineers to identify and implement standard equipment settings through effective trials.
  • Actively lead and be action focused in regard to PM compliance and top loss actions.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained to operate safely.
  • Actively participate in safety related activities such as near miss reporting corrective actions.
  • Energy focused to optimise and deliver annual targets.
  • Delivery of PM targets and delivery of corrective actions % versus plan.
  • Delivery of the required standards in relation to Engineering GMP and safety standards.

The successful candidate will:

  • Ability to stand and/or sit for up to 8 hours or more per day, in various climates
  • Moderate to loud noise level – hearing protection is required
  • Fast-paced environment: subject to numerous priority changes and short-notice activity
  • Required to work with/around rubber, latex, and/or silicone during normal job duties
  • 17th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Level 3 NVQ or ONC (Essential)
  • PLC experience.
  • GCSE Grade C and above or equivalent Maths and English
  • Proven working knowledge of plant maintenance and repairs including: Hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic and mechanical systems
  • Able to read and understand electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-growing business and meet tight deadlines
  • Understanding of health and safety processes and safe methods of working
