The Molding Department is looking to fill the role of Packer in their Lee’s Summit, Missouri facility. The Molding Operator is responsible to monitor molded products, separate any defects, and pack product that meets or exceeds all quality standards.

The Lee’s Summit facility is one of the primary manufacturing sites for producing customized thin-wall injection molded containers, lids, overcaps and custom packaging solutions for branded and private label food and consumer product companies all over the world. IPL is the trusted innovation partner to some of the biggest brands in the world and by working closely with customers to design and develop the right solution, millions of people around the world use our products every day.

Location: Lee’s Summit, Missouri

What you will bring to the role:

A reliable, dependable candidate who will bring a team player mindset with the ability to work autonomously as needed.

The successful candidate will:

  • Adherence to all Safety, GMP and Food Safety requirements while maintaining the highest cleanliness standards in and around individual work area
  • Arrive at assigned machine before shift change to obtain relevant information from off going operator
  • Perform quality inspections
  • Pack product that meets quality requirements and notifies appropriate personnel of any quality concerns
  • Interact with key personnel by communicating relevant information regarding safety, quality, productivity and equipment
  • Constantly monitor the stacking and conveyance systems to prevent unnecessary scrap resulting from jam-ups
  • Meet scrap management requirements and properly segregate scrap
  • Interact with the QA Technicians and provide information and samples of defective product
  • Be empowered to “Hold” product that they suspect is defective
  • Erect cartons and stack boxes of product onto skids as directed
  • Read and understand a shop order
  • Perform other tasks as directed

Additional requirements:

Candidate must be able to pass a Post Offer Essential Function Test (POET) and an Occupational Examination to demonstrate the capability to safety perform the essential function of the job to include:

  • Vision Test
  • Hearing Test
  • Dexterity Test on Wrists, Grip, and Pinch (grip must be within the gender and age requirements for each candidate tested)
  • Lifting test to confirm ability to lift 50 lbs. from ankle, knee, and chest height to a level of ground, 35” and 55” height
